What to Expect in Gaming for 2008 January 30th, 2008
Gaming had a successful run through 2007. To get things started this year, I'm going to show you some of the titles that I think will be promising for this year.
Grand Theft Auto IV - Release Date: April 28th
This is one of the games that I really can't think of much about the gameplay I would like them to change. Better physics, weapon control, and realism in driving would be nice, but I am a big fan of the "Sandbox" style games such as Grand Theft Auto. The release date above is for both Xbox 360 and PS3, and I hope that this game lives up to its predecessors. The story takes us back to Liberty City, which has been expanded since the original Grand Theft Auto III. This is a game I will be following closely, so expect to see more of it as it gets closer to release.
Fable 2 - Release Date: November 30th
This is another game that I hope they only change minor things about the gameplay. The addition of new weapons and spells would be nice, but I still consider the original Fable to be one of the best games for the original Xbox. I also hope that the story is more extensive this time, with an increase in the world size and enemy difficulty as well. I hope to see more gameplay trailers arriving soon, as there aren't that many available as of yet.
Devil May Cry 4 - Release Date: February 15th
This is a game that I am not completely familiar with, but understand that it has many followers and hope that the gameplay is good. Unfortunately I have no experience with the
previous games, but from what I have seen of the demo it looks like a good action game. The only serious downfall that I can see is the camera angles, but I never came across any times when it became a serious problem.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - Release Date: March
All I ask of Metal Gear Solid 4 is that the gameplay and story are as good as the last one was. Until the release or at least a demo, I remain hopeful of this game and the series it represents.
Fallout 3 - Release Date: Q3
I was very excited to hear when Bethesda decided to pick up work on this game. I hope that they can hold it to the same level of gameplay as Fallout 2, while providing the game with the graphics and physics that were displayed in Oblivion. Hopefully this game will not get pushed back until next year, as I am very excited to see what Bethesda does with this title.

No More Heroes: Out Now
Here's another action game, like nothing before it. Another one that I haven't played, but wish that I have, it is the story of Travis Touchdown, some guy who is attempting to become one of the best assassins in the world. the story is somewhat lacking, but the gameplay is incredibly fun and entertaining. To anyone that wants a fighting game for the Wii, this is the title for you.
I know there are many other games out there that are very much worthy of mention, but these are the big titles that come to my mind at this point in time. If you have any you think I should add, send me an email and I'll do my best to extend my list.
